Cefoxitin sodium can be used as semi-synthetic antibiotic derived from Cephamycin C, possessing high resistance to β-lactamase inactivation.

Description

White to off-white, granules or powder, having a
slight characteristic odor. Is somewhat hygroscopic.

Solubility

Very soluble in water, sparingly soluble in
methanol and dimethylformamide, insoluble in
acetone, ether and in chloroform.
