| Uses | 2,4-Difluorobenzylamine has been used in the synthesis of βAla–Aib(N-fluoroarylmethyl)], nonpolar nucleobase dipeptide via Ugi four-component condensation reaction. |
A new production method
a). Using m-difluorobenzene as the starting material, it undergoes Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction with ethylene oxide under the catalysis of Lewis acid to prepare the intermediate product 2,4‑difluorophenethyl alcohol;
b). Step a) The product is directly subjected to the second step reaction without separation and purification to oxidize 2,4‑difluorophenylethanol to generate 2,4‑difluorophenylacetic acid;
c) Step b) The product 2,4-difluorophenylacetic acid reacts with thionyl chloride and ammonia to prepare 2,4-difluorophenylacetamide;
d). Step c) The product 2,4-difluorobenzeneacetamide reacts with sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution under the induction of bromine, and Hoffman degradation occurs to prepare the target product 2,4-difluorobenzylamine
